Welcome to my blog! This web page was created to serve as a digital portfolio for my English Composition I class. The Proust Questionnaire, a series of personal questions popularized by Marcel Proust, was the class’ first assignment. Proust was a French essayist and novelist who, although he earned degrees in philosophy and law, knew he was destined to become a writer. He believed that answering this questionnaire would expose the true nature of the participant. The Proust Questionnaire __1.__What is your idea of perfect happiness? Perfect happiness for me would be becoming a successful registered nurse.
__2.__What is your greatest fear? I would have to say failure. I come from a place where failure has unfortunately become the norm, my goal would be to break the cycle. __3.__What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? I can be very overly sensitive at times. __4.__What is the trait you most deplore in others? Selfishness __5.__Which living person do you most admire? My mother raised four girls on her own, she is my motivation to be great. __6.__What is your greatest extravagance? I would have to say sneakers, I have a pretty extensive collection. __7.__What is your current state of mind? I’m exhausted. __8.__What do you consider the most overrated virtue? Righteousness __9.__On what occasion do you lie? Usually when I'm convincing my four year old to eat his vegetables or to go to bed on time. __10.__What do you most dislike about your appearance? My nose. __11.__Which living person do you most despise? Kim Kardashian. __12.__What is the quality you most like in a man? Vulnerability. I believe a vulnerable man is an unappreciated treasure. __13.__What is the quality you most like in a woman? Confidence. A woman who can love the skin they’re in is beautiful. __14.__Which words or phrases do you most overuse? Probably “bro” or “That’s not it”. __15.__What or who is the greatest love of your life? My two children, Raymond and Zaria. __16.__When and where were you happiest? The day I finished high school. __17.__Which talent would you most like to have? To play the piano. __18.__If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? The fact that I tend to hold grudges. __19.__What do you consider your greatest achievement? Becoming a mom. __20.__If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? Hopefully a lion or cheetah. __21.__Where would you most like to live? The Dominican Republic. __22.__What is your most treasured possession? My step-fathers gold pinky ring. He passed away January 13th, 2017. __23.__What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? September 7, 2019, the day my Grandfather passed in front of me. __24.__What is your favorite occupation? Nursing __25.__What is your most marked characteristic? My sense of humor. __26.__What do you most value in your friends? We all have relatively the same personality so we get along very well and always have a good times. __27.__Who are your favorite writers? Maya Angelou and Langston Hughes __28.__Who is your hero of fiction? Scott MCcall from Teen Wolf __29.__Which historical figure do you most identify with? Angela Davis __30.__Who are your heroes in real life? My parents. __31.__What are your favorite names? Isabella for girls, Lex/Lux for boys. __32.__What is it that you most dislike? Most vegetables. __33.__What is your greatest regret? Not going straight to college after high school. __34.__How would you like to die? As peacefully and painless as possible. __35.__What is your motto? Never take life for granted, tomorrow isn’t promised. |
